Claim Your Stake turns the entire planet into a real-world claiming game. The world is tiled into ~300 m² hexagonal cells (using Uber's H3 geospatial grid, resolution 12) — roughly 20 m across, about the footprint of a house. Walk to a spot, open the app, and claim the hexagon beneath your feet. It's yours — free, forever, first come first served.

Core gameplay

Location-verified claiming

Claims require real GPS presence (with anti-spoofing and velocity checks) within the hex, so you have to actually be there.

Claim streaks

Daily claiming builds a streak, with badges at 3, 7, 30 and 100 days.

Badges & milestones

Unlockable badges for claim counts (1 to 1,000+), streaks, and countries visited (2 to 25+).

Country & global leaderboards

Rankings by claims, by country, and among the people you follow.

Public profiles

Every player gets a shareable profile page showing their claimed hexes, stats, badges and stake history.

Social layer

Follow other players, get notified when someone claims near you or near a hex you're watching, and earn rewards through the referral program for bringing friends in.

Hex ownership

Beyond free claiming, players can buy a hex outright with credits — permanent ownership, a personalised photo or image on the hex, and a public “ownership history” (lineage) showing everyone who's held it.

Credits are bought in packs (from £5 for 50 credits up to £50 for 600 credits) or earned via a Pro subscription (£2.50/mo or £22.50/yr), which also grants a steady stream of monthly credits.

Platforms

Web app

The primary experience, built with Next.js and an interactive MapLibre GL map, available in English and Spanish.

iOS & Android apps

Native wrapper apps (via Expo) for App Store and Play Store distribution, with push notifications and in-app purchases (Stripe on web and Android, Apple In-App Purchase on iOS).
