Wheelr Privacy Policy

Last updated: 7 October 2026

Wheelr (“the app”) is an Android edge launcher made by Alchemedia Group (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with information. The short version: Wheelr does not collect your personal data, and it sends nothing off your phone.

1. Information we collect

None. Wheelr has no account or sign-in, and it contains no advertising, analytics or tracking code. We run no server that receives data from the app.

2. Information stored on your device

To work, Wheelr saves the following only on your phone:

  • The wheels you create, and the apps, tools, contacts, files and links you add to them.
  • Your settings, such as colours, sizes, the tab's shape and position, and theme.
  • Whether Wheelr Pro is unlocked.

If you add a contact or a file, you choose it through Android's own picker, and Wheelr saves only the name and a reference to it so it can open it for you. Wheelr does not read your address book, and it does not browse your files or photos.

This data is removed when you uninstall Wheelr or clear its storage. If you use Android's backup, your phone's operating system may include Wheelr's saved wheels and settings in your Google backup so they can be restored on a new device. That backup is managed by Google under its own privacy policy, not by us.

3. Permissions and why the app asks for them

  • Display over other apps: to draw the pullout tab and the wheel on top of other apps. This is the app's core function.
  • Notifications and foreground service: Android requires a notification while Wheelr keeps the tab available.
  • Start at boot: optionally starts Wheelr when your phone starts.
  • Vibration: haptic feedback, which you can turn off.
  • Modify system settings: used only if you add the brightness or auto-rotate tools to a wheel.
  • Do Not Disturb access: used only if you add the Do Not Disturb tool to a wheel.

Wheelr uses these permissions only to provide the features described here. It does not use them to collect or transmit information.

4. Purchases

The optional Wheelr Pro purchase is processed by Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment details. Wheelr only learns, through Google Play, whether the purchase has been made, so that it can unlock Pro features.

5. Sharing

We do not sell, share or transfer your information to anyone, because we do not have it.

6. Children

Wheelr is not directed at children under 13 (or the higher minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone.

7. Security

Your wheels and settings stay in the app's private storage on your device, protected by Android's normal app sandboxing.

8. Changes to this policy

If the app's handling of information changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be described in the app's update notes.
